Visit Mount Vernon this winter to participate in holiday activities and meet special guest Aladdin the camel. Learn about camels and George Washington’s interest in exotic animals during Camel Talks, offered Friday through Sunday beginning on November 27.
Specialty tours give guests a deeper look into the holidays at Mount Vernon. During the tour “Mrs. Washington’s Mount Vernon,” hear Martha Washington discuss the day-to-day planning needed for a busy holiday season. The “Holiday Dinner for the Washingtons” tour shares how food was grown, preserved, and served during the holidays.
You can also go in the evening for Winter Glow, when the estate is illuminated with lights and holiday patterns ($25-30/youth, $40-45/adult).

Every year from Thanksgiving until just after New Year’s Day, you can experience the Bull Run Festival of Lights, 2.5 miles illuminated by holiday light displays. Drive the festival route from the comfort of your car; turn off your headlights and just follow the magical glow.
The 2020 Festival of Lights is the season’s best, brightest and socially distant activity to enjoy with your family and friends! We’ve added three additional weeks to this year’s show, as well as online ticketing to provide minimal contact.

Eden Center Movie Night Presents -- Elf!

Bring the family to the Eden Center parking lot on Saturday, December 12th for a FREE showing of the classic holiday movie ELF. The fun starts at 6:30pm. FREE POPCORN and other family friendly surprises will be provided. The movie sound will be broadcast into your vehicle speakers so you can stay warm during the film.
SantaMobile by Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department

Santa Claus is coming to town! Every night from December 15th through 23rd, Santamobile ventures out on the town from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The attached maps shows where Santa and his elves will be on December 16th. Be aware that due to the pandemic Santa has determined his elves will be unable to distribute candy canes, dog treats, or safety literature.
